Richard "Dick" D. Kurman
Greenfield, New Hampshire - Richard "Dick" D. Kurman, 65, died on January 24, 2012, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack New Hampshire.
Mr. Kurman was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on October 10, 1946, the son of Adelyn "Peggy" (Lanes) and Norman Kurman. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He found his calling as Respiratory Therapist and worked for over 30 years in community hospitals and in home care in Massachusetts. Dick loved helping others, especially his patients that were veterans. He resided in Greenfield for 3 years and had previously lived in Dracut, MA.
He was an easy going man with a great sense of humor. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved driving his yellow Mustang convertible.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Borelli-Kurman of Greenfield; one son, David and his wife Sheila Kurman of Piscataway, NJ; one step son Brandon Furr of Weare, two step daughters, Chantal Williams of Winston-Salem NC, and Ashley Mantini of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Evan Williams, Patrick Kurman and Amelia Kurman; one sister, Sandra and her husband Samuel Fish of Westwood, MA, one brother, Bruce Kurman and his wife Gail of Danvers, MA, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He is predeceased by his parents.
Visiting hours will be held at Jellison Funeral Home 25 Concord Street Peterborough NH 03458 on Saturday January 28, 2012 from 4-6pm. Shiva Minyan will take place January 29, 2012 at the home of Sandra and Samuel Fish.
