As an admirer of Betsy Salazar's energy and enthusiasm in the Swap Shop and every other organization she participated in, I'm sad to learn of her death. She'll leave a huge gap in so many places in Hancock, both in terms of the contributions she made and the fact that her very presence lightened and brightened the day. My sympathetic condolences to all who loved her, particularly close family members who will feel her loss most acutely.
(Lest I appear to be a "mystery" woman, I'm Bud and Ed Adams' cousin, own the house at Link Rd. and Middle Rd. and get to Hancock as often as possible, though not as often as I'd like. But the quality of Betsy's personality and outreach was evident even to a (mostly, alas) non-resident of Hancock. )
