Jane Acheson

Jane Acheson, 95, of Peterborough, NH, died peacefully at River Mead on April 21, 2018.  Jane was born in St. Louis, MO on July 26, 1922, and is the daughter of Frank and Jane (Davis) Hickman.

She attended Mary Institute in St. Louis, MO and Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia, PA.  Jane married David Acheson in 1942, and they celebrated 56 years together until his death in 1998. Together they raised four children in Fairfield, CT.

Jane held active memberships in the Fairfield Garden Club, the Essex Garden Club, and the Porpoise Bay Boat Club, and was an avid bridge player of high regard throughout her years.

Jane is survived by four children: Pamela Acheson Myers of Palm Beach, FL; Sophie Acheson of Sonoma, CA; Rees Acheson of Alstead, NH; and Day Acheson of Williamstown, MA; and four grandchildren.

A private burial will take place in the family plot at the Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
