Peterborough, NH Barbara D. Woodbury, 81, of Peterborough, died at Pheasantwood Center, on April 9, 2014 after a period of failing health. Barbara was born in South Wakefield, RI on February 28, 1933, the daughter James Spaulding and Dorothy (Wilber) Spaulding. Barbara lived in Peterborough for forty-five years before moving to Jaffrey where she resided for thirteen years. She recently moved to Peterborough to live at Scott- Farrar before living at Pheasantwood Center. She retired from the Conval School System in 1984. Barbara loved to collect dolls and was an active member of the Granite States Doll Club. She was a also a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club. Barbara enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, knitting and crafts. She was a parishioner of the Peterborough Congregational Church. Barbara is survived by her two sons, Thomas Woodbury and his wife Debra of Swanzey and Peter Woodbury of Weare. She is survived by her brother Hugh Spaulding of Elmwood, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2:00PM at The Union Congregational Church of Peterborough, 33 Concord Street, Peterborough. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions be made in Barbara's name to Peterborough Fire & Rescue, 16 Summer Street, Peterborough, NH 03458 or Susan G.
