Carol M Maki

Carol M. Maki, 73, of Bennington died at her home on October 30, 2017 after a period of failing health. Carol was born in Peterborough, NH on December 24, 1943 the daughter of Trefflie LaFreniere and Bernice (Quint) LaFreniere.

Carol grew up in Greenville and graduated from the Appleton Academy in 1961. Upon graduating, Carol met her husband of 55 years, Wayne Maki, and together they raised their family in the Monadnock area.

Carol worked for many years as a cook at Pheasant Wood Center in Peterborough where she retired from in 1999. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved watching the Boston Red Sox. She loved animals, especially horses and her beloved dogs and watching the birds. During her down time, she spent time knitting, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles.

Carol is predeceased by her brothers Alan LaFreniere, Nelson Lafreniere and her daughter Kimberly Maki. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her daughters; Pamela Maki, Lisa Caisse both of Bennington and her brother, Francis LaFreniere of Brookline. She will also be missed by her grandchildren; Tanya Dysart, Melissa Howe, Carol Ann Busch, Matthew Busch, her great- grandchildren; McKayla Hamel, Ethan Dysart and her great-great grandchild Piper Ferry as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Antrim Baptist Church, 85 Main Street, Antrim. Reverend Charles Boucher will officiate.
