Caryl (Crosby) Young, 71, died on November 15, 2013 in Webster, TX. She was born in Boston, MA on September 15, 1942 to Ethel (Henry) and Kenneth Crosby. Caryl was a Registered Nurse for over 45 years and a 1964 graduate of the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing. She later earned both her BSN and MSN in Nursing Administration from the University of Florida. She also became a Certified Case Manager and made the helping of others her primary focus for the last 18 years.Caryl was outgoing, kind-hearted, and is said to have "never met a stranger." She enjoyed spending time with friends, working in her yard, and researching family history. She was an accomplished cook and had a gift for interior decorating and home improvement. Caryl was an animal lover, and she doted on her rescue dog Dolly. She took a keen interest in the political process and believed strongly in making the world a better place.

One of her biggest joys was being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. They dearly miss their "Grammie," and her memory will always be alive in their hearts.
