David was raised in Peabody, MA, where he spent his summers playing baseball and began playing trumpet alongside older musicians.
He worked as a software engineer for Wang, Avid, and Storage Computer. After his career he retired to spend more time with his sons and pursue his passion for music. David was an accomplished woodworker who created many cherished pieces that will remain in his family for generations. He was an aviation enthusiast, often watching airplanes at local airports and spending summers traveling throughout New England to attend airshows. He was also a passionate model train enthusiast, designing and building an impressive train display that brought joy to his family and all who saw it.
David is survived by his two sons, Philip (and Sara) Caputo of Southbury, CT and Matthew (and Lindsay) Caputo of Hancock, NH; his grandchildren, Camden and Avery; and his sister, Christine Caputo of Peabody.
