David Whitney

Peterborough, NH David Whitney, 47, of Peterborough, died unexpectedly at his home from sudden heart failure on September 29, 2016. It was unknown to David that he had heart disease. Dave was born at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough on September 30, 1968, the son of Winston P. Whitney and Marilyn (White) Whitney. Dave was a lifelong resident of Peterborough. He attended Peterborough schools and graduated with the ConVal Class of 1987. He was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, kayaking and whitewater rafting. Dave was a quiet and gentle man who will always be remembered for his kind nature and his big, caring heart. David had a lifelong career with his mentor from his school days, Barry and Carol Costa with Costa Carpet Cleaning. That career was continued with Neatly Done to date. Dave is survived by his brother Doug Whitney of Peterborough and his sister Karyn Barretto of Amherst. He will also be missed by his girlfriend of 8 years, Kristen Paduchowski of Peterborough. Dave's beloved Kristen, and the Whitney family, would like to remind everyone the importance of well checks with your medical professionals. To help avoid suffering a tragic loss as we are enduring. A Memorial Visiting Hour will be held on, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH. A Memorial Service will follow immediately at 6:00 PM. Pastor Beth Simmons will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contribution be made to, Friends of Acadia - Maine Nonprofit, Conservation Organization, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, www.friendsofacadia.org
