Elizabeth Anne (Edwards) Lindstrom 79, of Greenfield, N.H., passed away peacefully in her home on February 18, 2026. She was born on November 12, 1946, in Deposit N.Y., to Leo and Julia (Jarosz) Edwards.
Beth, as she is known, grew up in Deposit and Hancock N.Y., and Susquehanna Pennsylvania, and attended Mansfield College in Pennsylvania, and the University of New Hampshire at Durham where she received the Master’s degree in English.
After a stint as an insurance agency head for Mutual of New York, her work involved writing. She was a reporter for the Union Leader, features writer for the Peterborough Transcript, instructor of writing at both Saint Anselm College and Keene State College, and for 21 years the editor of Odyssey Magazine at Cobblestone Publishing in Peterborough where she produced a magazine that led many young people to become scientists. Beth was an unpretentious loving person who had many creative abilities. She was a talented watercolorist having painted since she was a child, an avid flower gardener whose gardens were a work of love, and was said by many to be the best writer they had ever known.
Beth is survived by her Husband, Peter Lindstrom, of Greenfield; her son Max Lindstrom and partner Brandon Howe of Keene, her brother Richard Edwards of Hancock N.Y., her sister Leona Edwards Conner of Ocean View, Delaware, and nieces Jessie Edwards George of Franklin Mass., and Sarah Edwards Weyer of Binghamton, N.Y. Beth will be sorely missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 27 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a service at 6:00 PM, at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH 03458.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beth’s name to The GlioblastomaFoundation.
