Jennie Marie Traffie, 96, of New Ipswich, died on January 23, 2014 at Monadnock Community Hospital with her youngest daughter by her side. She was born in Embarrass, MN on April 2, 1917, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Kujala) Pyhala.
Jennie was born and raised in MN. She and her husband lived all of their adult lives there, raising their family, until retirement when they moved to NH.
She thoroughly enjoyed traveling to see her extended family. She will be dearly missed for her passionate care of them, including the endless supply of her specialties: pasties, pancakes and peaches, besides her weekly baking of hand-kneaded "farmer" bread. Her hobbies included embroidery, and gardening and canning fruits and vegetables. Jennie enjoyed visits from family and many friends from all over the States and even abroad. After her visits, she would continue her correspondence with countless cards and letters. She was refreshed by joining her visitors in singing the songs that spoke of her love for the Lord.
