Obituary

Jennifer Lynn LaBelle, 55, of Temple, New Hampshire, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by her family and many dear friends. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister and daughter, and dedicated teacher whose generous spirit and genuine warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Born June 28, 1970, to Lewis G. Groebe, Jr. and Judith Gwyn (Galbraith) Baldwin, Jen graduated from Mascenic Regional High School in 1988. She went on to earn a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire — reflecting her deep commitment to children and learning.

Jen spent her career as a teacher in the Mascenic School District, where she was known far more than just for what she taught. Her classroom was a place where students felt seen and supported. She chaperoned school dances, showed up for her kids in countless quiet ways, inspired a love for reading in many, and built the kind of relationships that students carried with them long after they moved on. Her impact there was real, lasting, and immeasurable.

On July 23, 1994, Jen married Jeffrey LaBelle in a ceremony at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, New Hampshire. Together, they created a home in Temple defined by warmth, good food, laughter, and an open door. This year would have marked 32 years of marriage — a partnership built on love, loyalty, and a shared joy in family life.

Outside of work and family, Jen embraced life fully. She loved snowmobiling and motorcycling, creating stained glass work, antiquing, cooking and hosting for a crowd, and enjoying breakfast with close friends. She was happiest on the back patio, with a book on the beach, or sitting down to a lobster dinner with people she loved. Her cats and rescue animals held a special place in her heart. In everything she did, Jen was fun-loving, caring, and completely present.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Jeffrey LaBelle (58); her sons, Chase LaBelle (28) and his fiancée Katherine Belletete, and Ian LaBelle (26) and his fiancée Morgan Leger; her mother, Judith Gwyn Baldwin (84); her father, Lewis Groebe, Jr. (88); and her sister, Melissa Williams (58). She was predeceased by her stepfather, Clark Baldwin. She is deeply, dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Hope Fellowship Church, 16 Prescott Road, Jaffrey, New Hampshire.

Visiting hours begin at 10:30 AM, with the service at 1:00 PM. Light refreshments and fellowship will follow. Service officiated by Pastor Jordan Moody.
