Lee A. Lafleur

Peterborough, NH Lee Albion LaFleur, 83, of Peterborough died on September 5, 2016 at Monadnock Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Lynn, MA on March 12, 1933, the son of Albion LaFleur and Doris (Grant) LaFleur. Lee was raised in Peterborough and attended Peterborough schools until his last two years at the Mount Hermon Preparatory School where he graduated. After serving in the United States Army during the Korean war, Lee settled back in Peterborough where he was a junior partner of Monadnock Lumber with his father. Lee enjoyed time spent with friends and family. He spent many years building and sailing iceboats with friends at several local lakes. Lee had many fond memories of summers on Contoocook Lake with his family and winters in Destin, FL and Myrtle Beach with his beloved wife Pearl. In addition to his loving wife of more than 58 years Pearl (Raisanen) LaFleur, Lee is survived by his children, Karen Snyder and her husband Dan of Glendale, AZ, Katherine LaFleur and her husband Glen Langston of Greenbank, WV, Arthur LaFleur and his wife Jeanne of Peterborough, and Thomas LaFleur of Peterborough. He will also be missed by his twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visiting hours will be held on Friday September 9th from 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12:00PM at Divine Mercy Parish, 12 Church Street, Peterborough, NH. Burial will be in the family plot at Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lee's memory to Cheney Armstrong- American Legion Post 5, PO box 172, Peterborough, NH 03458
