Obituary

Lynne M. Saucier, 74, of New Ipswich, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA, on August 8, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1952, in Bridgeton, ME, to Llewellyn H. and Valencia (Dionne) Moulton.

Lynne graduated from Montgomery High School in Rockville, Md., studied at Plymouth State College, and is married to Normand E. Saucier. Lynne was the Religious Education Coordinator for Sacred Heart Church of Greenville prior to retiring in 2010. For the last ten years, Lynne was a devout and active parishioner of Divine Mercy Church in Peterborough. She was a strong advocate, member, and leader of The Women’s Guild – a key organization that strongly supports Divine Mercy Parish and the surrounding communities in various capacities. Along with her husband Norm, she was also an active member of the OCIA team whose mission is to bring people into the Catholic Faith through support, instruction, and fellowship. Lynne had many hobbies including gardening, cooking, reading, and studying her Faith. She excelled in just about everything she undertook, but her favorite pastimes were spending time with her children, grandchildren, cooking, gardening, reading, knitting, kayaking, and, along with Norm, studying and living the Catholic Faith, river cruising, exploring our country’s National Parks, dining out and having a glass of wine on the front porch of her home. With her knitting and crocheting talents, she darned and donated many items to the poor and needy.

A book could be written about Lynne and her character. She was a wonderful, caring, generous, self-giving, intelligent, loving, generous, and inspiring wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, and friend for many people. Testimonies and reflections regarding her amazing character can be read below.

Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Normand E. Saucier, of New Ipswich, NH, her son, Matthew Saucier, of New Ipswich, NH; her daughter Christin Saucier, of Peterborough, NH, her daughter Kim Lopez of Halifax, MA; her sister Lesa Feuilet Haas of Everett, Pa., stepchildren Gregory Saucier of Valdosta, Ga, Michelle Mingolelli of Epping, NH, Adam Saucier of Milford, NH, Joseph Saucier of Andover, Ma, and Renee Quinones of Hillsborough, NH.

Other surviving members of Lynne’s family include grandchildren, Leah Winslow of Peterborough, NH, Eva Kullmann of Peterborough, NH, Rylynn Saucier of New Ipswich, NH, Gabriel Saucier of New Ipswich, NH, Steven Saucier of Adel, Ga., Chelsea Dickman of Hudson, NH, Torrey Dickman, Molly Hemenway of Plastow, NH, Sierra Saucier, Jarod Saucier, Angel Quinones of Hillsborough, NH.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH, 03458.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 12 Church Street, Peterborough, NH, 03458. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Greenville, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lynne’s name to either The Peterborough Food Bank or The Sacred Heart Saint Vincent DePaul Society of Greenville, NH.

Reflections From Family Members

Grandma Lynne was one of the strongest, coolest, most down-to-earth people I’ve ever known, and she was truly the rock and calm center of our family. She taught me so much, not only about plants and cooking, but about strength, composure, and always standing up for yourself. What I’ll miss most is having someone who genuinely knew me, believed in me, supported every adventure I took, and was always so excited to hear what I was doing next. She was one of my biggest fans, and because she knew exactly who I was, her pride in me meant more than I could ever explain.

Grandma was an incredibly down-to-earth and relatable woman, an amazing listener, and a beautiful person. Her voice could calm anyone’s nerves, and her laughter was contagious. She is going to be missed beyond belief. I love her so much, as did anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

One thing I will always remember about Lynne is how she always treated me like her own daughter, but also like a friend. If I ever needed to talk about a problem, she was always there to lend an ear and offer advice to help me through my struggles. I was fortunate enough to spend a day kayaking with her at Robinson Pond in Hudson a few years ago—a day I will always treasure. She loved to kayak, and I will forever be grateful that we shared that day together.

We will always remember Lynne’s friendly smile, patience and compassion, and the kindness she gave so freely throughout the years. She came into our lives with a generous spirit and a welcoming nature that made every sibling feel loved and cared for. Though she was taken from us far too soon, we are deeply grateful for the love she shared with our dad and the entire family, and her memory will remain a cherished part of our lives.

The most memorable things that I loved about Lynne was her calm and gentle demeanor. She never seemed to lose control of her emotions and always had a soft and loving personality. She was very generous and always cared more about others than herself. She was a natural born mother and homemaker. She was extremely skilled in so many ways around the home, from gardening to cooking and being a great wife and mother. I don't think anyone could ever say they did not feel love from her because of her nurturing personality and loving nature. And the best part of going over to visit her and my dad, no offense, Dad, but knowing whatever it was that she was going to prepare for a meal or appetizer or dessert…everyone knew that it was going to be amazing every single time. She was such a gifted cook, and I’d bet my life that God is going to make her His head chef!!! Enjoy living with God pain-free forever in paradise! I’ll see you there, Lynne! Love Joe

When I think about Mom, I think about all the ways she took care of us. She cooked a homemade dinner every night, hosted every holiday and made everything from scratch, drove us everywhere, and somehow made each of us feel cared for in the ways we needed. She was incredibly talented at sewing and could make or fix just about anything — she even hand-sewed what felt like billions of tiny red beads onto my wedding dress because I wanted red accents. She loved gardening, walking in the woods, and kayaking, but more than anything she loved being with her children and grandchildren. She was an enormous part of Leah and Eva's lives from the time they were babies, and she was truly the best Mimi they could have had.

I remember her chop suey and her recipes.

She always made sure we had what we needed and that we were all ok. She was super sweet and kind. She would always make slime with me as a kid. She would bake with me a lot. She would take me to the library as a toddler, and she and her friends would always protect my head from the corner of the table with their hands.

Dear Lynne, I will always remember you as the compassionate soul who said a Prayer for the Nation with me each Thursday night at 9:00 p.m.; therefore, I will always think of you at that time. Love, Alida.

Dear Lynne, There is an unforgettable appreciation for Lynne deep in my heart and mind for the love and kindness towards me, Alida, and my children. You are always full of sunshine, joy, and wisdom.

Thank you for taking such good care of my dad. We’ll miss you dearly and see you soon. With much love, Adam
