Pat Luther's spirit was freed on December 11, 2013, to join her beloved father, Clifton Morgan; mother, Evelyn (Boyle) Morgan; sister, Kay (Morgan) Holmes and son, Clint Luther. Her daughters Niki Tatro and Kayle Luther were by her side at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jaffrey. Her memory is shared by her brother, Alvin Morgan, her nephews and nieces: Harold Dempsey, Sue (Dempsey) Weaver, Cliff Dempsey, Cynthia (Morgan) Flynn all in Delaware and Jennifer (Morgan) Conyers in North Bend, Washington. She is also survived by her grandsons: Ian Tatro, Shea Tatro and Devon Tatro, all in the Monadnock region.

Born in Elkton, Maryland on 12/3/1941, Pat grew up on the Eastern Shore where she loved to fish and hunt. She graduated nurse's training at Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing in 1962 in Salisbury, MD. After she married Arch C. Luther, Jr. in 1964, she moved to New Jersey and raised her family, serving on the Woodstown school district PTO and School Board. She returned to healthcare and obtained her BSN in school nursing from Glassboro State College in 1984. Pat moved to Antrim, New Hampshire in 1985 with her friend Sheila (Morgan) Hatmaker and her family: Kristin (Hatmaker) Flippen, Kelly Hatmaker, Travis Hatmaker and Katy (Hatmaker) McIntyre. She worked at Monadnock Community Hospital as a nurse and clinical leader, mentor and patient advocate until her retirement in 2007. Her favorite activities in retirement including reading books of all kinds and watching "Deadliest Catch." She was well known at Antrim's Tuttle Library for checking out bags of books at a time. -- and she read them all.

Pat suffered a stroke in April of 2008. She convalesced at home until she became a resident at Good Shepherd in August 2010, where she continued caring for others by forming a strong bond with staff and residents. Many have shared how Pat was an inspiration and cheerleader to them in their careers in healthcare and nursing. For this reason, the family would like to establish a nursing scholarship in her name in lieu of flowers.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are through Jellison Funeral Home in Peterborough, NH. Questions regarding the scholarship can be sent to her daughter, Kayle Luther, 65 Gibson Mountain Road, Antrim, NH 03440.
