Raymond O Pepin (1938-2016) Naval Veteran, Raymond Ovide Pepin, 78, of Conway, SC. a long time resident of Peterborough, NH passed away peacefully at his home November 18th, 2016 with his loving wife by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Raymond "Ray" was born March 16, 1938 in Biddeford, Maine. The son of Elzear and Cedulie (Boulanger) Pepin. Married 58 years to his best friend Dorothy "Dot" Jalbert. He dedicated his life to help raise their four children while working as an independent truck driver. He leaves behind his sons Mark (Donna Shuda) Pepin of East Haven, CT, Arthur Pepin of Londonderry, NH, daughters Deborah Blair of Bend, OR, Katherine (Gregory) Forrest of Peterborough, NH, His sister Madeline (Pepin) Pelletier, 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister, Theresa (Pepin) Stancombe and brothers Paul and Reggie Pepin. Ray enlisted in The United States Navy for four years. He served on The USS Canberra 1956-1959, The USS Charles R. Ware 1959-1960, and The USS Abbott in 1960. He was also in The Naval Reserves for 4 years. Ray was also employed by McLaughlin Mayi‚owers of Nashua for many years then became an independent truck driver until he retired in 1994. Following his retirement Ray loved golf, working around the yard and house, playing scrabble and spending evenings on the porch with his wife Dorothy. I lieu of i‚owers, Ray's family would like to ask that you make a donation to your local Hospice organization.
