Sally Elizabeth Warren (LeBlanc) age 91 of Bennington, NH passed away peacefully at Concord Hospital on October 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Peterborough, NH on September 24, 1934, the daughter of Francis and Anna M. (Cote) LeBlanc.
Sally graduated from Peterborough High School. After graduation she worked for the Guernsey Cattle Club and then started her secretarial career at the Peterborough High School where she first met her future husband, Carroll. After moving to Vermont where they raised their family until moving back to New Hampshire.
Once the children were in school, she went back to her career and spent the rest of it in the ConVal School District, first as the middle school secretary and then secretary for the small elementary schools until retiring.
Sally’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, whether it was trips to the ocean, shopping or eating out. She was an avid reader, crafter and seamstress and shared with her family and friends many unique and creative gifts.
She loved anything frog or flamingo and many could be found scattered throughout her home. When you went out to lunch, you could count on her choosing (even after looking over the menu) a BLT unless it was at Beach Plum or High Tide where she enjoyed a fish sandwich or baked haddock.
She celebrated EVERY holiday with decorations and themed food. Sally was amazing at creating handmade Halloween costumes from childhood on. Her family continues this tradition and like her, keeps a photo record of the fun. Her past costumes are all recorded in a scrapbook she created.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Warren in 2006 and is survived by her three children, daughters Carrie Whittemore & her husband Brian of Bennington, NH, Rebecca Cottle & her husband Michael of Salisbury, NH, and son Adam Warren of Bennington, NH as well as her six grandchildren: Rory Whittemore & his wife Sarah (McLaughlin) Whittemore, Kelly (Whittemore) Shirk and her husband, Ryan Shirk, Shauna (Whittemore) Hautanen and her husband Alexander Hautanen, Jasper Cottle, Amelia (Cottle) DeVellis and her husband Matthew DeVellis, and Miranda Cottle and her partner Patricia Allen. She leaves 8 great-grandchildren: Ryan and Michael Whittemore, Oliver, Andrew & Rosalie Shirk, Phebe Hautanen and Walter & Anne DeVellis.
