Sharron L. Monaghan

March 6, 1947 — November 18, 2025

Sharron L. Monaghan, 78, of Dublin, a devoted equestrian, loving companion, and accomplished professional, passed away at Scott-Farrar Assisted Living, after a long and courageous journey with dementia on November 18, 2025. She was known for her deep compassion, her steady determination, and the joyful spirit she brought to every chapter of her life. She was born in Gardner, MA, on March 6,1947, the daughter of Richard and Madeline Kimball.

Sharron’s love for horses began early. As a teenager, she was already a skilled rider, working weekends as a trail guide at Little Ponderosa Ranch. Riding became a lifelong passion. Over the years, she rode, trained, and cared for many horses, including Otterbrook Nicole, Otterbrook Mirage, and Rapidan Jonathon. She competed in dressage, drove horses in carriage classes, and spent countless winters sleigh-driving, always happiest in the company of good horses and good friends.

After living and working for a time in Massachusetts, Sharron settled in New Hampshire with her husband, Denny, and built an impressive career in human resources and office management. She served in leadership roles at American Optical, Pneumo Precision, Brookstone, The Edge Company, United Natural Foods, Troy Mills, Beech Hill Hospital, and later at The Petersons in Peterborough, where she also worked in real estate until her retirement in 2015. Colleagues knew her as dedicated, organized, and unfailingly supportive.

Animals continued to be a central part of her life. She and her miniature schnauzers, Cinda, Maxwell, Heidi, Schultz, Woodstock, and Maximillion, shared many adventures. Sharron trained several of them in obedience and agility and brought them to nursing homes for demonstrations and visits, where she found joy in connecting with residents and brightening their days.

Sharron had a lifelong love for Corvettes, proudly owning seven throughout the years, especially her beloved white 1992 coupe. She also enjoyed a remarkable range of experiences, including hot-air ballooning, road rallies, sports car events, parasailing, skydiving, glider flights, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, and riding her own Harley. She captured many of life’s moments through photography and contributed her work to the local historical society.

In 2020, Sharron began facing memory challenges, later diagnosed as early-stage dementia. In August 2023, she moved to The Gardens at Scott-Farrar in Peterborough, where she received exceptional and compassionate care.

Sharron will be remembered for her warmth, her adventurous spirit, her devotion to the animals she loved, and the kindness she showed to everyone around her. Her life was rich with passion, purpose, and connection, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
