Arthur Holden Obituary

Arthur Russell Holden, Jr., 86 of Bennington, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2020. He was born in Worcester, MA on September 6, 1933, the son of Arthur and Katherine (Wheeler) Holden.

He was raised in Shirley, MA, where he attended school until enlisting in the United States Navy in January of 1951. Before his honorable discharge in April 1959, he served through the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed antiquing. He was employed by Drs. Tenney, Fritz and Combs in Peterborough and worked for Aubuchon Hardware in Peterborough and Valley Hardware in Hillsborough. He was a warm and caring person with an easy smile until being afflicted with Alzheimer disease.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, Betty (Warren) Holden of Bennington, Arthur is survived by children, Linda, Gregory, Carol and Theresa and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Russell.

Services will be private for the family.
