Daniel Kane

Son of the late George B. Kane Jr. and Constance Kane of Fitchburg, MA.

Daniel proudly served his country in the US Army with a tour in Germany. Upon returning he worked as a linesman for the B&M railroad, and later working as a head groundskeeper at Burbank Hospital where he designed and created beautiful gardens that were greatly admired.

Dan was a gifted athlete and enjoyed all sports, cheering on his Red Sox, Bruins, and New York football Giants!

He spent the last 25 years enjoying the rivers, lakes, and mountains in the Monadnock, New Hampshire region both fishing and hunting. He also volunteered as a mentor to disabled men at the Crotched Mountain School teaching them to fish.

He was generous of heart and hand to help anyone in need, especially as the loving father of Kelly Kane Murphy of Worcester, MA, Heidi Kane of Gardner, MA, and the proud grandfather of Brandon Arcevedo. Daniel also leaves behind a brother, Michael Kane of Fitchburg, MA; two sisters, Patricia Kane of Leominster, MA and Lisa Kane of Vero Beach, FL; stepson Jonathan Mullahy, and several nieces and nephews.

A military funeral service will be held at a later date.
