Florine Warren

Florine L. Warren, age 87 of Antrim, passed away peacefully at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough on February 11, 2023 after a brief illness.  She was born in Sommerville, MA on September 30, 1935, the daughter of Thurston and Florine (Muller) Buchan.

She was raised in Somerville, MA, where she attended local schools. After meeting her husband Bob, she moved to Antrim.  They married November 28, 1953. Together they raised four boys, Robert Jr, William, David and Lawrence. She was a member of the Antrim Baptist church.   She worked in the kitchens at Hawthorn College in Antrim and then she worked at Brookstone company in Peterborough NH before retiring and becoming a stay-at-home mom.  Some of her hobbies included quilting with the Quilting Bee of Antrim Baptist Church, and she was a member of the Sunshine CB club for a number of years. She also loved to go camping. When her boys were young, she worked with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of Antrim NH. In her later years she enjoyed going up to Camp Sentinel in Tuftonboro NH where she liked to help others. She also enjoyed visiting her family and friends.  

Florine is survived by her brother William Buchan of Ma., sister Patricia Lane of Averill Park NY, Sons Robert and wife Kaye, William and David and wife Sandra, 24 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. Also, all the kid's friends that would call her mom/grammy.

Burial will be held on Friday February 24th at 2:00 PM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH where she will be laid to rest with her husband Robert Warren.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday 25, 2023 at 1:30 PM at the Antrim Baptist Church, 85 Main Street, Antrim, NH.
