Gaylen Joyce Kelly, 75, of Harrisville, passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family on March 11, 2021 after battling cancer. She was born in Peterborough on September 29, 1945, the daughter of Graydon and Bessie (Stone) Clark. Gaylen is predeceased by her husband Domingoes “Locky” Raymond.
After graduating from Peterborough High School, Gaylen worked at New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Brookstone, WG Ellerkamp, and Millard Group.
Gaylen will be lovingly remembered by her children Bambi Kierstead (Jaimie), Tiffany Smullen (Jim), Buddy Raymond, Shane Raymond (Karen), her brother Butch Clark, her grandson Nicholas, granddaughters Sammy, Shana and Lauren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life along with her dogs, Alex the poodle, Rex, Toddy, Maddie, and Cole the dobermans. A horse lover, Gaylen enjoyed harness racing and attending horse shows to watch her granddaughter ride. Being a huge fan of the New England Patriots (especially Tom Brady) and the Manchester Monarchs, a favorite pastime was attending hockey games with her children and grandchildren. Gaylen looked forward to retreating to a secluded cabin in the White Mountains with her family, visiting the Basin, as well as spending time at the ocean or camping with her camping family, where she was known for her “feisty” personality. Numerous animal rescue centers and causes, especially those benefiting dobermans and horses, were the recipients of Gaylen’s charitable giving.
A graveside service at Pine Hill Cemetery will be announced in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gaylen’s name to The Monadnock Humane Society, 101 W Swansey Road Swansey, NH 03446 or online at https://monadnockhumanesociety.org/donate/donation-memorial/

April 4, 2021 1:01 PMBuddy, Bambi, Tiffy, Shane and Karen,
I am so sorry to just learn of your Mom's passing. Buddy and Cole came over for a neighborly visit while I was out raking. Gay was, in a word, a beautiful person - and oh, how she loved her family! Please know that I am holding all of you in love and prayer. It seems almost prophetic that I learned of her death on Easter Sunday. I don't know exactly "where" your Mom is now, but I am absolutely certain it is a place of Love and Peace....and she is still taking care of her wonderful family. With deepest sympathies and so much love, Yummy
