Robert F. Sherman

Robert F. Sherman, age 74 of Peterborough, NH, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH after a brief illness.   He was born on October 18, 1946 in Rockville Centre, NY, the son of John Richard and Mary Claire (Jones) Sherman. 

Bob was a kind, loving, generous, and wonderful man, who lived by his tremendous faith in Jesus Christ and dedication to the Catholic Church.  He strongly believed in the value of education and hard work.

Bob grew up in Queens, NY.  He graduated from St. Francis Xavier High School in New York City.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from New York University and his Masters from Pace University.  

He retired after a fulfilling 36+ year career with Consolidated Edison of New York, where he made many lifelong friends, most importantly his best friend and loving wife, Pamela.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Pamela Cresci Sherman.  Loving father of his children: Robert J Sherman of Katy, TX and his wife, Dianne; Paul Sherman of Plano, TX and his wife, Valerie; and Mary Claire (Sherman) Brooks of Marietta, GA, and her husband, Erich. 

Bob absolutely relished his role as grandfather to Adam, Abigail, Sage and Matthew.

He is also survived by his brothers Richard and Peter Sherman and fondly remembered by his niece and nephews: Richard, Anna, Steve, and Spencer.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 4, 2021 at 11 am at Divine Mercy Parish, 12 Church Street, Peterborough, NH.   The family will receive visitors in the hour preceding the Mass, beginning at 10am.
