Dear Carole & Fish Family,
My sincerest sympathy to you in the passing away of Cal. It was a privilege to have worked with Cal just before his retirement from Manchester High School. He was sincerely interested in his students and colleagues. His calmness was the catalyst and safety net that allowed our students to take planned risks in opening new and challenging horizons in their learning experiences…he made a difference in the quality of life for so many of them.
One of Cal’s legacies is that he was the co-founder of MHS TV , along with Bob Digan and Ron McCadlo back in 1990. When one visits Manchester High School’s website today and looks at the MHS TV segment, it was Cal who provided the technical expertise at the beginning along with his special talents that formed the foundation for what exists today. Several MHS students are now part of the national and international media sector.
Cal has left many of us with great memories of having worked with a very special person. There’s much to celebrate about his life…..he is in our thoughts and prayers.

My love to Carole and all the family. Cal was a wonderful, gentle man; he helped me in many ways over the years; a true mentor. And I always appreciated his sense of humor, especially at church meetings when things might get a little rough. I celebrate his life, and your whole family. Jeanne

My heart goes out to Carole, Dave, Laura and all of Cal's family. What a sweet and impressive obituary . Clearly, he was a man with many accomplishments and admirers.
